Tallinn, Estonia

Estonia’s capital made the top of Lonely Planet’s Best Value destinations for 2018, and it’s a great introduction to Eastern Europe. The old historic town can be explored on foot for free, and the city’s gourmet culinary scene is also one of the reasons why it’s so popular. With stunning architecture and bohemian bars nestled side by side, Tallinn has something for every kind of discerning traveller.

Cape Town, South Africa

Home of the Rainbow Nation, Cape Town is a unique destination which offers beautiful beaches and coastline along with the best of city life. The buzzing atmosphere can be experienced all over the city and there’s so much to do that you can’t possibly fit it into one trip. If you love wildlife then here you can spot penguins, whales and dolphins in their natural habitat. Take in the incredible views from the top of Table Mountain, or take a boat ride to Robben Island and visit the prison which housed Nelson Mandela and other political prisoners. If you love adrenaline and water sports, then it’s also a great place to go surfing or diving.

Seville, Spain

If you want to experience magnificent views and Spanish culture, then forget Madrid and Barcelona – you should visit Seville. It has long lived in the shadow of other Spanish cities, but 2018 is Seville’s year! Ride around the city on a bike tour taking in the baroque sights, enjoy authentic tapas in one of the city’s 3,000 tapas bars and visit a Flamenco club for traditional entertainment.

Sri Lanka

From white sandy beaches to dense rainforest, this is a great place to travel to if you love discovering varied natural landscapes. The island is home to many cultures so you can also enjoy a wide range of cuisines and authentic experiences. Not to mention the unbeatable wildlife sightings in the National Parks!
